Nova Scotia Sightings
Report submitted March 26, 2013 - Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia
Hi Candy,
I am an avid amateur photographer and have always loved hiking and exploring ..Nature has always fascinated me.Even as young children my brother and I would camp for days with almost no food or supplies to " test " ourselves in a remote wooded area. I remember clearly , finding what I can only describe as a nest large enough for us both to climb inside but the eerie feelings we got had us getting out of there...We lived on Cape Breton Island and although growing up I only ever heard stories from my Mother and one other story long after I had moved to Alberta, I did see what I believe to be a Sasquatch. I was 12 years old and did not see it's face but I did see it walking through Alders and although it was twilight I did get a clear view. It was walking and moving the brush with its hands and grabbing as it walked slightly hunched. I was frozen in a squatted position for at least a minute till it was far away enough for me to not be seen. I still have a clear memory of that evening and have been fascinated ever since. I've heard the term " here he goes again " so many times, every time the word Sasquatch comes out of my mouth . I'm 48 and to this day , every time I go into the woods, any woods, I always stay aware of my surroundings .- Earl
